I am an immigration attorney working with a Nepali client who is seeking asylum in the United States due to political problems he had in Nepal. I work at a non-profit organization that assists immigrants who cannot afford to pay for a lawyer. We are in need of a volunteer Nepali interpreter for his asylum interview on Friday, June 5, 2009. We are looking for a volunteer who is: fluent in English and Nepali, is available on June 5, and is willing to attend about 3 practice sessions for 2-3 hours each before June 5.
